For Service Suspension System error removal module Escalade 3, Avalanche, Suburban, Tahoe, Yukon (2007-2014)
If you decide to change the standard shock absorbers with the Magnetic Ride Control system to the usual “passive” ones, the question will surely arise how to clear the "Service Suspension System" error message on the dashboard. This problem can be solved in several ways, reprogram the car system to work with passive suspension, the solution is probably the most optimal, but this can do only GM dealer and price is high. The second way, just to deceive the Suspension ECU by connecting a load resistor of the desired characteristics. Immediately you need to warn that the resistors are very hot, there were cases that the plastic elements with which they were in contact melted because of them, it’s not difficult to come across the possible consequences. The resistor should only be installed in a cooling aluminum casing and attached to metal elements.
The third method is use CAN bus emulator GMEMU3. GMEMU3 will send messages to other car electronic, that suspention works fine.
Fits:
- 2007-2013 Cadillac Escalade
- 2007-2013 Cadillac Escalade ESV
- 2007-2013 Cadillac Escalade EXT
- 2007-2013 Chevrolet Avalanche
- 2007-2013 Chevrolet Suburban 1500
- 2007-2013 Chevrolet Tahoe
- 2007-2013 GMC Yukon
- 2007-2013 GMC Yukon XL
The GMEMU3 is connected to the wires of the OBD connector:
- OBDII pin5 - emulator GND
- OBDII pin16 - emulator +12V
- OBDII pin6 - emulator CH
- OBDII pin14 - emulator CL
Correct operation of the module is possible only with the complete absence or disconnection of Suspension ECU or removal of the air suspension compressor Fuse2 ESC/ALC EXH (30A) (Fuse1 for diesel cars) in underhood fuse panel - look picture:
