It is required for sensors based on the FD CAN communication protocol.
The FD CAN communication protocol can be found in cars such as KIA, Hyundai, GM group, Ford, VAG group or Volvo.

How to install
- Connect the CAN FD adapter to SmartOBD.
- Run AST CAN software and wait for FW update to 2.5
- Choose KIA or HYUNDAI (CAN FD) and click "make it".
- Wait for the message "CAN FD adapter connected ... ok"
- Ready-to-use CAN FD adapter.
ATTENTION:
One CAN FD adapter can only work with one SmartOBD CAN tool.
Cannot be exchanged for other equipment.
